The Manchester Mouth, Howard Dean, is on fire this week. Not only did he kick Katherine Harris while she's down by comparing her to Stalin (!?!?), but he's busting chops on the Iraqi PM and calling him an anti-Semite! THIS is why he's a better DNC chair than a candidate for national office. You just can't drop gems like that when you're appealing to Yellow Dogs and Log Cabin dwellers.
After declaring that Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson would "beat the pants" off Harris this November, he ripped into her role in the 2000 Presidential debacle in which she gave Florida to Bush while she was his state campaign chair.
"[Harris] didn't understand that it is ethically improper to be the chairman of the campaign and count the votes at the same time," said Dean. He added, apropos to nothing, "This is not Russia. And she is not Stalin. And she will go back to wherever she came from..."
It's unclear why Dean chose to attack Harris, who is trailing Nelson by a margin of 61 to 24 percent, but ain't it funny that he did?
Sensing a roll coming on, Dean turned his ire to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki who he tagged an anti-Semite for blasting Israeli tactics while failing to denounce Hezbollah.
Playing to the home crowd in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dean said, "We don't need to spend $200 and $300 and $500 billion bringing democracy to Iraq to turn it over to people who believe that Israel doesn't have a right to defend itself and who refuse to condemn Hezbollah."
Somebody get Dean-a-rino a drink!
