Rove Aide Ralston Resigns Amid Abramoff Investigation
Karl Rove's assistant, Susan Ralston, has resigned days after the House Government Reform Committee said she "was lobbied 69 times, the most contacts with any individual named in the report. She also received numerous tickets to concerts and sporting events."
"She did not want to be a distraction to the White House at such an important time and so we have accepted her resignation," White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said.
No, no. The last thing the White House needs just five weeks before the mid-terms is another Abramoff tinged connection.
And look how chummy she is with W. That is an awfully familiar pose to strike with the President of the United States, no?
