Bush Stood Up in Florida

You remember Florida, don't you? It was the center of the 2000 election fiasco where Katherine Harris (AKA: the Girl Least Likely) handed then Governor George W. Bush a major victory in the early days of the recount madness by certifying the votes as-is, all but nullifying Al Gore's bid for recounts in selected counties. This is also the state that boasts no less than the President's brother as its governor. This, my friends, is Bush country. Or it was...

In a noticeable snub to the president, Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist ditched on a public appearance with the Bush brothers. GOP candidates around the country have been running from George W. Lame Duck for months, but this was an event specifically designed to rally the Bush faithful around Crist who is vying for the younger Bush brother's job!

Proving his depth of pettiness is bottomless and maybe even non-partisan, Karl Rove sneered and said, "he wanted to see how many people turned out for Crist in Palm Beach versus the 9,000 supporters expected at the Bush rally."

Family feuds, ain't they grand?

crist wasn't the only one snubbing last night... even thought bush gave good ol' k. harris the nod last night, she wasn't allowed to take the stage. she was there... front row in the crowd... not allowed to take the stage. she was shunned by the man that everyone is shunning. that's pretty damn low.
