Germany calls for Wolfowitz to resign

The German Minister of Development, Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul, told the Financial Times Deutschland that it's time for Paul Wolfowitz to step down as president of the World Bank:

The situation, as it is, is no longer acceptable ... My conclusion is that Wolfowitz should do the bank a service and take the consequences himself. The sooner, the better.

The Minister of Development is responsible for all things World Bank related in Germany.
