Pelosi believes in warming; travels to Europe
On Saturday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) flew to Europe with 7 other House Democrats for meetings with European politicians and scientists on how to successfully tackle global warming. They will be making stops in Belgium, Germany, and Greenland.
This is, of course, contrary to the Bush administration, which is still hostile to the reality of global warming and other environmental problems. Bush has repeatedly rejected proposals from the rest of the civilized world on ways to address global warming through reduced carbon emissions. Democrats like Pelosi prefer to be a bit more proactive on these issues.
