Connecticut may legalize medical marijuana

On June 1st, the Connecticut State Senate voted to pass a law legalizing medical use of marijuana for certain debilitating medical conditions, 23 to 13. The State House voted in favor of the same bill on May 23, 89 to 58. Governor Jodi Rell (R) has yet to say whether or not she'll sign it, but once it reaches her desk, she has 15 days to indicate one way or the other before it automatically becomes law. If the law is passed, Connecticut will be the 13th state with a law legalizing medical marijuana on the books.
