Ex-Interior official gets 10 months
Steven Giles, who used to be the Deputy Secretary of the Interior under Gale Norton, was sentenced to 10 months in prison today. He admitted to lying to the Senate about his relationship with Jack Abramoff, and is now the highest ranking Bush administration to be convicted of a crime. Even so, he does have lots of company. They're just lower in the food chain than he is.
The connection to Cheney? Giles was the Interior point man on Cheney's energy task force.
