Contempt of Congress Citations Approved
The House Judiciary Committee voted today to issue contempt of Congress citations against Josh Bolton and Harriet Miers. Showing his utter lack of knowledge on the subject, the Snowman became unhinged in his response:
"Now we have a situation where there is an attempt to do something that's never been done in American history, which is to assail the concept of executive privilege which hails back to the administration of George Washington and in particular to use criminal contempt charges against the White House chief of staff and the White House legal counsel," said White House Spokesman Tony Snow.
Of course, the limits of executive privilege have indeed been challenged and checked, dating all the way back to George Washington's administration.
Still though, you can't help but feel a little sorry for the guy. I'll forgive him a flub or two given the enormous amount of lipstick he has to apply and re-apply to the pig that is George W. Bush's policies.
Stay tuned...

Bitchin'. Does the House have its own equivalent of the sgt-at-arms, I wonder? I want to see some people's asses dragged away in cuffs.
This is getting so good. Bush is a slippery motherfucker, but he might finally get what he deserves (eventually).
The parallels to Nixon are obvious. Seems that 30-40 years, Congress needs to flex its muscles against an overzealous Administration...
"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
