McCain campaign in freefall
While Senator Barack Obama was able to announce that he'd raised more money in one quarter than any Democratic contender ever, Joh McCain... well, not so much. His fundraising was barely a third of what Obama collected - $11 million vs. $32.5 million. Even worse, because of that poor fundraising and too many expenses, his campaign is down to its last $2 million dollars. That may seem like a lot, but it's not. Which is why the McCain campaign is laying off at least 50 employees and cutting the salaries of others.
