Obama in Q3: $20 million raised

Well, it's official now: Barack Obama raised $20 million dollars in the third quarter. We're still waiting on numbers from the Clinton camp, but the word on the street is that her numbers will be comparable.

Still, it seems like Obama is breaking records all over the place with his fundraising - $78 million and 350,000 donors since his bid for the White House began. I think that's more money - and more donors - than all the Republican candidates combined.

So why is he trailing Clinton in the polls? I just don't get it...

The good news, though, is that a Newsweek poll shows him taking the lead in Iowa right now among likely Democratic caucus-goers (28% to Clinton's 24%).
