Remember when Dick Cheney was just a multimillionaire, oil and gas CEO? Bill Clinton was president, and we were still in the midst of the longest economic expansion in American history?
In 1999, Halliburton fired 9,000 employees, because of the "global downturn of [the] oil and gas business."
I came across the press release in this American Prospect article, Woe is the American Worker.
