Tancredo Drops Out
The GOP has lost one of the nuttier candidates that has made watching their primary race so fun. Rep. Tom Tancredo, a five-term congressman from Colorado, has announced he is now out of the running for the Big Dance and will throw his support behind Romney.
When Tancredo entered the race last spring, he said he would not have done so if he had thought any of the leading candidates was sufficiently strong on fighting illegal immigration. I guess he's decided old Mitt has toughened up a bit since he declared no muslims would serve in his cabinet.
Meanwhile, Ron Paul continues to cash in with a $6 million haul in one day this week. Not bad for a "fringe" player, eh?

Could this be a sign that the politics of fear have switched from foreigners to our shrinking wallets?
