Clinton Raises $35 Million
Hold up! Just when we were ready to count Hillary Clinton out, she bounces back with an infusion of cash. An AP report says the Clinton campaign will report a $35 million take in February, nearly double what she raised in January and just a month after she had to lend the campaign $5 million of her own dough.
"It was incredibly gratifying to see people come forth with this vote of confidence in me," Clinton told reporters in Hanging Rock, Ohio. "Obviously this is a tremendous benefit to my campaign."
In an attempt to piss on Hillary's parade, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said that his candidate has raised "considerably more than that," but refused to disclose exact numbers. What a tease!
So, while Hillary's fading in the delegate race and all but bounced in the contest for public relations, she's still a juggernaut on fundraising. Mo' money, mo' money, mo' money.
