Huck Gets Dobson Endorsement
Strengthening Huck's hand to negotiate a prominent position in a McCain administration is this endorsement from James Dobson, the Focus on the Family founder who still holds a lot of sway over a gang of evangelical voters.
Dobson recently said he could never support McCain for President and with Romney now out, he has little choice but to support his southern Baptist brother. Dobson released a statement Tuesday that criticized McCain for his support of embryonic stem cell research, his opposition to a federal anti-gay marriage amendment and for his temper and use of foul language.
Without strong support from evangelicals McCain faces a tough haul to the White House. Turnout among Democrats is through the roof and the GOP is losing Big Time in the money game, which means the eventual nominee will have to pay a lot more (with less money on hand) for a lot more than what the Dems will get for free. The Straight Talk Express may want to consider retrofitting to hybrid technology.
