Jeb Bush Endorses Treason

In an interview with Newsmax, Jeb Bush pretty much recommends treason:

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush tells Newsmax that the GOP must broaden its appeal to avoid becoming "the old white-guy party," and recommends that Republicans create a "shadow government" to engage Democrats on important issues as the incoming Obama administration seeks to enact its agenda.

Good luck what that shadow government. Vive la Résistance!

As much as I don't want any Bushes in government beyond landscaping, from a strategic standpoint ol' Jeb is right about many of the points that he raised in the article. The GOP is becoming (as if it hasn't always been) an old-wite-guy's party; there is no "big tent." They should organize themselves into an opposition party and historically, they've been suited to that role.

I think the "shadow government" comment might have been wishful thinking colliding with a Freudian slip, as the Republicans are in no position to craft the federal government to their liking. It might well be in their interests to craft a sort of shell of ideas to implement should they win big in the next election. Who knows, with all those gun-nuts running around buying assault rifles because they fear the end of the 2nd Amendment, the GOP just might be able to raise a militia. Wouldn't that be interesting...?

I'm sure they'll do whatever they can to subvert the Obama Administration.
