For decades, since Richard Nixon declared war on reporters, we've been hearing from the right that liberal bias in the media was not only a dishonest ruse pulled over on the American public but an irresponsible dereliction of duty. "How can you be objective when you have an unspoken bias?" they cry.
Now that Lou Dobbs has left CNN to apparently pursue what one network honcho described as "advocacy journalism" can we expect that same outrage from the right against Dobbs? He clearly had an objective in his reporting on immigration and economic issues and that objective seems to now have been identified as an attempt to advocate for a particular point of view.
Where's the outrage?
