Rep. Zach Wamp: The South's Gonna Rise Again!
Most people reacted with nervous laughter to Texas governor Rick Perry's suggestion that Texas might secede from the Union should certain policies from a certain President go too far. Well now Perry's being joined by Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN), who is not implying but outright threatening to secede if health care reform is implemented as intended. He cites the 10th Amendment (natch) as justification. I guess he forgets how that worked out for the south last time.
