GOP Claims Obama "Ambushed" Them
In defending Republican leaders' rebuffing of the President's invitation to meet at the White House this week an interesting meme has emerged. Republicans are now saying that the shellacking they took at their retreat last year (remember? It was when President Obama swatted down their lunacy like so many flies) was an "ambush." I guess they forgot that he 1) was invited; 2) they all agreed for the event to be televised live; 3) the President took on UNSCRIPTED and unscreened questions from the Republicans.
That's like saying Ali sucker-punched Sonny Liston.
