The Bible Trumps Science for This Republican
Illinois Representative John Shimkus (R, of course) thinks that global warming is a sham. He quotes the Bible as proof. Because, you know, the Bible was written by people who had a firm grip on climate science. Or something. This passes for research in Republican circles. He seems to equate global warming with the end of the world. Even if global warming produces conditions far beyond our worst nightmares, the world will still be here, even if most of us are not.
Oh, and he's vying for the House Energy and Commerce Committee chairmanship.
What a moron.
